The inspiration of Casa Todo Bien

When entering the gates of Punta Mita you are immediately surrounded by a grove of palm trees that hints at the paradise awaiting you. A short quarter mile up the hill from the gates, you gaze to your right and catch your first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean and Litibu Bay. It is mesmerizing. The water shimmers colors of aquamarine and blue while fading into the mountainous green jungle across the bay. You are about to enter the community of Kupuri, an inspiring enclave set upon a hillside offering you the most dramatic views in all of Riviera Nayarit. Kupuri has 33 stunning home sites, 11 directly on the Ocean. This is where you will find Casa Todo Bien.

The Story

Our first walk on the property was a typical Punta Mita amazing day in paradise. The temperature was perfect, visibility was limitless and the sound of the surf was our backdrop. The view was dominated by a peak in the distance. A peak locals call “Monkey Mountain”. The house was inspired by this dramatic scene of ocean, jungle and mountain blending into a picture postcard living frame.

 

The house was designed with 3 distinct goals:

1. Amazing views from every room.

2. Provide a laid back 5 star resort feel that appeals to everyone.

3. Encourage family members to bond and enjoy activities that produce lifetime memories.

The Casa

You enter Casa Todo Bien by descending down 15’ wide Marble stairs bordered on both sides by a waterwall made up of thousands of small rounded black stones that shimmer both day and night. The effect is serene and with each step the view in front of you slowly enlarges revealing the reef, the ocean and finally the majestic mountain just in the distance. You have arrived.

 

The upper private level Todo Bien has 5 bedrooms. 3 Bedrooms have King Beds, 1 has 2 queens. The bunkroom is unique, perfect for families and friends with kids of all ages. The bunkroom has 2 Queen Beds, 2 full beds, and a queen futon. In addition the bunkroom has his/her bathrooms including indoor and outdoor showers – it truly elevates “glamping” to a new level. The last room on the private level is a 500 square foot Media room that boasts an 82” Samsung Smart TV, Playstation and seating for 15. The sound quality will amaze you so start making your list of family movie favorites.
Also, there’s a sixth Bedroom (The Teen Room) on the bottom floor with a full bunk bed and a trundle and its en-suite bathroom.

The private level is great but the heart and soul of Todo Bien is the social level. This is where memories are made. The views from everywhere are stunning. It is actually difficult to choose what will inevitably become your favorite vista. The game room is on the west side of the house. It has a pool table and outdoor ping pong table, along with a large sitting area dominated by another 82” smart TV. It looks directly onto the island situated in the pool that runs the length of the house. The island has 2 sitting areas, including one that features a fire pit overlooking the ocean. Below the island is the fitness facility which boasts free weights, a universal machine, a Peloton, Treadmill and Elliptical machines. In the pool is a sundeck with 4 chaise lounge chairs perfect for those that like to take in the sun and quickly cool off. The living/dining area is casually elegant and has both indoor and outdoor seating for meal times. The gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream and our Chef, Oswaldo, will delight you with his culinary skills. Adjacent to the living room area, on the east side of the house, is the Todo Bien bar. It comfortably seats 12 and once again you can enjoy another 82” smart TV to watch your favorite sporting event or show. On the backside of the Bar is our Pizza Grotto boasting a wood burning pizza oven, palm trees, a second fire pit and intimate seating highlighted by a candle wall that wraps back into the bar area creating a wonderfully romantic setting.

Finally, the last level of Todo Bien was created by the greatest architect of all, Mother Nature. From the social level it is an easy walk down beautifully manicured steps to the Sandy Beach and Pacific Ocean. Water toys await you – Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Surfboards, Boogie Boards, fishing rods, snorkels and fins. Our house manager, Kilo, and the rest of the staff, will help you with whatever you desire. It’s a five minute beach walk to the world class Kupuri Beach club and a ten minute walk to one of the best snorkeling/diving reefs in all of Riviera Nayarit. Your only worry will be that you did not plan enough days to embrace all that is Casa Todo Bien.

Punta Mita has been a special place for our family for many years and we have had the opportunity to spend time at many wonderful homes – however our recent stay at Casa Todo Bien was among the best. Given it was our first time staying in the Kupuri area, we were curious how the location compared to other areas within Punta Mita. As we arrived we realized that Casa Todo Bien both had exceptional views of the water and walking access via the beach to the Kupuri Beach club. We found the house itself to be very well equipped. Favorites for the kids were the game tables, pool, and movie room. As adults we enjoyed the music (Sonos in all rooms), the private beach, snorkeling and the workout room. Everyone was treated to spectacular food by the Todo Bien team which was the best we’ve experienced ever on our trips to Punta Mita. We could go on, but broadly the details and thoughtfulness put into the home ranging from the house design elements, to the lower beach area made the Case Todo Bien experience highly differentiated for us.

    Everything at Casa Toda Bien was fantastic! It did not disappoint and lived up to the hype and the pictures! Kilo, Ross, Osbaldo and Marta were the best and made our stay over the top. Ross and Kilo were always attentive and we loved being with them. Cheffy, as we called him, is a culinary wizard and every single thing he prepared was yummy. I would highly suggest to future renters - to just let him plan the meals! Marta and her crew kept the house immaculate even with 15 people staying there! The amenities were all used and I don't think we wanted for anything! Every single bed was comfortable and the linens were so soft. Every person in our party commented on the beds being perfect for a great night's sleep! The house is so gorgeously decorated and we loved all the attention to little details.

    It’s rare when everything about your stay exceeds expectations but Casa Todo Bien did just that! The house gives you the sensation of stepping into the pages of Architectural Digest and understanding the intentions of the Architect and Designer. The views are breathtaking and everywhere you look you notice the intricate details that went into every room. The staff was fantastic and the Chef made meals worthy of any 5 star resort. The house had everything - 12 person bar, huge TV’s, cinema quality theater room, game room, and a great gym. There were tons of beach toys and it was great being able to walk to the Kupuri Beach Club in a matter of minutes. Our family has been to Punta Mita many times but this was by far our best experience. We will be coming back soon!
